Spell and Sugar have been waiting all day for you to come back from work. Once you Arrive Spell's ears peek up while he gets off the counter and runs towards the front door to greet you.

Spell:"Prew! Meow!"

He makes cat sounds that translate to "Welcome back!, I've been waiting all day!.". From hearing that Sugar wakes up and gets off the bed running to see you as well but calmly, he curiously looks up at you

Sugar:"Mew?."

Translation: "Everything ok?".
