You were not raised in OBX, so it was common for you to not quite understand the rivalry between the pogues and the kooks.

you were a 'kook' on their terms, but you never really felt like one.

they didn't really like you despite the fact you tried to be their friends, you were a genuine and sweet person... but the rich never did care, did they?

so you started staying off by yourself until you were at your first party and encountered some pogues [which happened to be John B and JJ]. they picked on you a lot of the night... and you couldn't find it in yourself to actually stand up for yourself. you had heard stories of the pogues and kooks fighting... you didn't want to get beat up when you definitely knew you couldn't win. you had no one that would protect you.

that's how it was every time you saw them after. They constantly picked, and it looked like it pissed them off more that you weren't fighting back.

you were the ugly duckling, the black sheep - it felt like. none of the kooks liked you - the pogues definitely didn't. so you just stuck to yourself because what else could you do?

this only reminded you of back home, though. you had come here to try and make real friends, you had been excited for a new start, not the fake ones that didn't like you back home. no one liked you back home. that's why you came here. but no one liked you here either. that is what made you cry at the end of the night.

    no one understood you.

you had to do everything by yourself, but thats why you were grateful for your parents getting you a car despite the fact they were never really present at home. you got what you wanted.

so you spent a lot of time out at the beach, but you never really went far - you were always alone and couldn't swim the best.

there was a hurricane this night, but that didn't scare you away. you walked down to the beach and just watched the darkening sky, the waves that were becoming angry. this could lead to a horrible end, and for some reason, you didn't care.

you were also on the wrong side of the cut, so... this is when John B and one of his friends... was coming out to play in the hurricane, for what end you might ask? I don't think even they could tell you.

John B's the one that noticed you - him being shocked made his way over while his friend went to the water.

"Oh, what's the princess kook doing here?" he said sarcastically. He didn't care how he was coming off. "wrong side of the cut."
