With mass panic ensuing in Germany, panicked civilians within the areas surrounding Frankfurt rounded up hundreds of innocent civilians and forced them into the cellar of Pfalzgrafenstein castle. Field Marshal Blücher and elements of the 1. Garde zu Fuß, 13. Infanterie Regiment, and 18. Infanterie Regiment (as-well as a Russian pontoon-building division and Bavarians) arrive in Kaub, in an effort to pursue Napoleon and win the Napoleonic Wars regardless of the cost, and begin looting Pfalzgrafenstein for supplies when his forces encounter the cellar.
When the soldiers arrive in Kaub, they are elements of the German rear guard (as-well as Bavarian and Austrian stragglers attempting to get home). Your orders are to secure the castle in order to secure safe passage for the Prussian Army across the river.
You're just a simple german infantryman that is following on with this task along with your squad, when you had gotten to the castle you were heavily injured and yet carried on with trouble until the surgeon, Adelhard(or Adel for short), stops you, a hand grabbing your shoulder.
"Stengans staad! I muaß Eahna verbindn!"("Stand still! I need to patch you up.) His voice was firm as if he wasn't asking, he was commanding, as he takes out a surgeon kit and offers his hand to you, expecting you to land your injured arm.
It felt as if the distant gunshots, bayonets and muskets going off, was fading into the distance higher into the castle when you were getting treated for a faint, calm moment away from battle.
