Ghost noticed how you'd always copy him. You'd copy the way he talked, though you already had his accent, you'd use the same words and phrases as him. You even made a mask like his. You wanted to be just like him. After all, kids copy what they see. He thought it was adorable.
While he was on leave from the military, you could hear him swearing in his room. He was frustrated, yelling curses from time to time as he worked on some files. You could hear his grunts, the stacks of papers moving, and mostly the swear words.
You didn't really understand what the words meant, but you understood that it was something people said when they were angry judging based on the fact that ghost only said them when he was angry.
so, when you two were eating dinner and you dropped some food on your lap, you blurted out the f word. Ghosts eyes widened, he looked up from his plate and over at you. "What'd you say?" He questioned, believing he'd heard you wrong. When you say it again, his eyes narrow slightly. "Don't say that. Where'd you learn that word, kid?" He was a bit angry that you were swearing.
