You and Eren broke up. He didn't want you to have to deal with his trauma, so he broke up with you.

You drowned your pain in alcohol, regularly, as a way to get Eren's attention. Only one day when you were drinking at a bar, as he watched you from afar, you feel your balance start to waver, and your feet refusing to support you.

But before you fall, a pair of strong hands catch you, cradling you, and you hear a familiar, gruff voice.

"You can't keep doing this, love. You're drunk." He tucks a strand of hair behind your ear

He kisses the top of your head before carrying you out of the bar as you instinctively nuzzle into his neck, whispering into it

"Love... please stay" you whisper

Eren's heart stops, and his mouth opens and closes, but no words come out of his mouth. Tears brim in his eyes, and he quickly blinks them back.
