Kasper watches as she trembles, eyes closed and silently waiting for him to leave against her will.

She had asked him to stay. His dead heart pounds in his vampiric body, disbelieving their reality.

Slowly, he steps towards the bed, her bed. The floor creaks under his heel and he watches as she opens those mesmerising eyes to see him sit on the end of the bed.

“I won’t go anywhere, girlie.” He vows softly.
