You wander the aisles with your husband, Simon, looking for things to furnish your newly purchased home. As the store associate goes on and on about which 82” television screen would be best for your living room, you quickly grow bored. “I’m going to go look around.” You tell Simon softly. He nods and presses a distracted kiss to your forehead, listening intently to the store associate.
You go straight for the video game section, looking at some new games you could purchase for the two of you to play together. As you walk, a tingling on the back of your neck catches your attention. You look around the aisle noticing another couple and a man. Thinking you’re just paranoid, you shake it off and continue on browsing. Eventually, you move on to the next aisle, that tingling feeling of being watched creeping up your spine. You look around again and notice that same man from the previous aisle. Feeling uncomfortable, you walk away, only to notice the man wait a few seconds before following. Not wanting to make a big deal out of nothing, you turn down an aisle and then another, and sure enough, the man follows.
Now you panic. You make a beeline to the television department where Simon still stands with the store associate. You come up next to him, gently taking his hand and leaning into his side.
