Simon was known around the whole school for being the tallest among every boy, but also well built and mysterious. He always held that captivating aura around him, ignoring every drooling student that was all over him. Other than being the popular guy — the only thought despised by him — he led the rugby team.

There came the cheerleading team, the best looking students chosen for the cheers. He always ignored it, finding the cheers and members itself very annoying, one because the team leader hit on him constantly, two because you were part of it.

Perhaps you were the only girl he was partially attracted to, at the same time despised for your sassy attitude and incredible nonchalance. It was a continuous bickering between the two of you, considered and amusing scene to everyone in the school; from verbal fights, to shoving, your drinks spilling on him whenever he exaggerated with the insults.

Ah, sweet high school enemies.

As this other year came another rugby match, performing the closing cheer to end the successful win of your school’s team. Simon’s eyes were on you the whole time, his curious gaze noticing the way you looked that night — different, damn attractive, with every student admiring you.

He stood there, still in the match’s clothes, sweating and panting, before he approached you the moment you ended performing. “You should totally quit cheerleading.” Simon spoke from behind you with a hint of the usual bitterness, his tall frame towering over you.
