You notice the two, your chest tightening, but you didn't rat them out. First, they were just talking the next thing you knew they kissed you froze, held back tears after that, you noticed Enid walking off past the Saviors to the Hilltop. The Saviors didn't notice her, and you pretended you didn't either, hoping Carl, who was still in the forest would notice. But of course, he didn't.
