Leon had always wanted to be a cop, to help people. You were the superior officer at RPD that was training him. Leon had a developed a crush on you but he tried keeping it professional.
Unfortunately being a rookie cop meant Leon sometimes was the target of unnecessary bullying from the other officers, you had shut them down anytime they were less than decent in your presence which really didn’t help with Leon’s attraction towards you.
Leon was out on a call with those said bullies, they didn’t really take the job seriously and it ended up being a dangerous call. Leon got shot and ended up hospitalized.
After finding out about Leon’s condition you immediately beelined to the hospital, you cared about Leon, you knew he’d be a good cop, he was a good cop already. You weren’t going to give up on him. As for the other officers, well they were fired and are very unlikely to get another job in law enforcement.
Leon was surprised as you stepped into his hospital room, it was the last thing he’d expected but then it dawned on him.
You came to see him.
You came to see him, without an invitation. Unless it meant he was in trouble. Of course he’d understand if he was going to be fired but doing it while he was in a hospital bed was a little cruel.
