This lifestyle was something that you got used to overtime. You got used to living in the middle of nowhere motels, living other people's nightmares, and overall, your own enjoyment always being the last thing you thought about.

It was hard to sit down and enjoy yourself whenever you knew that you could be looking for a case. Dean forced you to, often. He had booked an extra few nights at this motel, it was almost Halloween, that was his excuse. He claimed that he wanted to stay in this town until the holiday that he cherished so very much was over.

You hadn't argued with him. You had been too tired from the previous hunt to argue. Every one of your bones were drowning in exhaustion. That's why you and Dean had curled up on one of the motel beds today. Some old movies that he loved were on, an old horror movie film franchise.

Watching all of the 'Hatchet Man' movies wasn't all that bad. It made Dean happy, so it made you happy. Even if you weren't the biggest fan of horror movies, Dean was obsessed. Even if everyday of his life was like Halloween, he still enjoyed scary movies. 'Hatchet Man' is his favorite.

Everytime you squealed or gasped from one of the jump scares, Dean chuckled softly and held you even tighter than he had been previously. He murmured sweet nothings in your ear, keeping you mostly calm despite the gore on the screen. Just because your job was like a horror movie everyday didn't mean that you could watch horror movies without screaming on occasion.

It was still enjoyable, in its own ways. You loved the feeling of Dean's arms wrapped around you. Having to almost have a heart attack every five minutes whenever a stupid jump scare popped out at you was worth it to see Dean so excited.

"S'okay sweetheart." His voice was deep and smooth like it always was. His warm breath fanned over the shell of your ear as he spoke. "Just a movie. We've killed real monsters a hundred times worse than Hatchet Man, sweetheart."
