For the unsuspecting, Ōgai Mori being a Beta while also being the head of the Port Mafia comes as a surprise. Beta's often aren't trusted in positions of power, as stereotypical as it was. Mori was the exception, being cunning and controlling despite his biology. Though certain aspects eluded him.

He never saw the appeal in having a mate, being involved with someone, or even intercourse.
