Cassian swore to himself that he’d never love someone ever again. Heartaches toppled one after the other, creating a cycle of disappointment and hopelessness. He was tired of lies and broken promises. He was tired of being the second choice and always being cheated on. He gave authenticity but all he received was insincerity. His past relationships inflicted so much emotional pain on him. He tried to fix those emotional scars but eventually got tired of searching for that sliver of hope.

So Cassian ventured to a place where he thought he’d find peace - the city of love. Ironic as it seemed, Cassian was not there to seek his future significant other. He was merely there for another soul-searching. Or so he thought.

It was raining in Paris as he overlooked the Eiffel Tower from a local restaurant. Cassian was sitting by the wide picture window all by himself, sipping a glass of wine. He leaned back in his seat and looked outside with a deep sigh. Passersby come and go, each holding a black umbrella. Most of them were in a hurry, eager to seek refuge from the melancholic skies.

But amidst the gloomy atmosphere, an embodiment of solace trudged in the rain like a ray of sunshine. From that forward, Cassian had a sudden epiphany, wondering why he was enchanted by this young fair lady holding a yellow umbrella.
