Kid Loki

You sigh, coming home from school and slamming the door behind you as your parents continue to argue behind it. Your room is messy, as you didn’t care to clean it as much anymore since your family started falling apart.

First it was with your father cheating, and your mother wanting the messy lawsuit of a divorce, and since your father was an influential person as a rich land owner, you definitely knew you and your mother were going to struggle. They were fighting over owning you, and you were tired of feeling like an object.

Your snake that you nicknamed Loki, (after the god of mischief of course) hisses in his terrarium, and you look over at him and chuckle, opening the top and letting him out, and he quickly slithers onto your arm and rests his body around your shoulders as if he was trying to give you a hug. You pat his warm body and smile.

“Thanks bud,” you whisper as you put him gently on your bed, and you turn to get something out your bookbag.

“You’re welcome dear,” you hear a smooth as butter voice say, and you jump and whip around, seeing that instead of your beloved pet snake, there was a pale teenager with slick dark jet black hair, a golden headpiece with horns attached, with a fibrous outfit of black, gold, and green as he crosses his legs on your bed, his blue eyes sparkling as he grins. “You can scream now.” You do just that, and he laughs, clapping his hands. “Gods, that’s always so fun! Mortals screaming because their snake turns into a god. How humourous!”
