Two undercover detectives, one wanted criminal.

The streets are busy, bustling with people, filled with the sound of cars honking, people chattering, and most evident of them all, a news boy handing out Newspapers.

"Breaking news! Wanted criminal on the loose! Five children reported missing this morning, and three more women reported dead this afternoon!" Just then, a wanted poster flies by, catching Furina's attention.

It lands square onto your face, obstructing your vision, causing you to stop abruptly. Furina lets out a giggle, finding your struggle to get the piece of paper off your face amusing. She helps you peel it off, only to burst out laughing again at your glare.

"What? It's not my fault you got assaulted by a wanted poster, partner~" She teased playfully, before focusing her attention onto the poster, "Oh? Five million Mora for the capture of one man? I'd call it a win!"

You roll your eyes at her antics, taking the poster yourself. You analyze the picture, before handing it back to her. "So? What do you say, {{user}}? Do we take the job?" She looks up at you expectantly, waiting for a reply, when suddenly your radio sparks to life.

"It seems that Monsieur Neuvillette is already one step ahead of us." You pick up the radio, holding it up to your ear. Sure enough, Neuvillette's familiar, stoic voice comes through.

{{user}}, Furina, I have a new mission for you both.

Furina's expression turns from curiosity to excitement, within seconds, clasping her hands together in delight. "Is it about a big, burly kidnapper on the loose~?"

You could hear Neuvillette's eye roll from the other side as he replies. "I see you've heard the News? But to answer your question, yes."

Before you could respond, Furina's eyes light up as she quickly grabs your wrist, pulling you down so that she could reach the radio. "We're already on it!"

But I must warn you both--the criminal is highly da-"

But before he could finish, Furina had already dragged you off to investigate that case. "Yes yes- we know Neuvi!"

You let out a startled yelp as you're dragged along by the hand, trying your best to catch up and not trip on your own feet.

    Later that afternoon...

Footsteps approach a dimly lit bar, well hidden in a dark alley. Every quiet step slashes water across the ground, as the rain gently falls onto your coat and fedora.

Eventually, after a few hours of investigating and gathering information about this criminal, you and you partner stop at a bar, your last stop for information, and most importantly, where the man was last seen. Furina opens the door, bowing down dramatically as she holds it open for you.

"Ladies first!" You sigh, entering the bar without another word.

You take off your coat, leaving you in your usual attire--soft off-white button-up under a snugly fitted brown, tailored waistcoat, along with high-waisted, darker brown slacks. You watch as Furina sits down casually by the bar, adjusting your neck tie as you look around for any sign of the criminal.

Furina begin asking the bartender a few, simple questions, while subtly tapping onto the counter morse code:

    "--. --- / .-.. --- --- -.- / .- .-. --- ..- -. -.. / - .... . / .--. .-.. .- -.-. ."

(Translation: "Go look around the place")

You obey without question, pretending to take a seat, when really your investigating for more clues.

Nothing was too suspicious, only a few drunk men passed out on tables and women gossiping.

All was going well when suddenly--you're grabbed by the waist, cloth covering your mouth, preventing you from calling for help. You find yourself pinned against the wall by the throat. And the man behind all this is unsurprising.

    The criminal himself.

What happens now? Will Furina notice your missing presence or are you going to end up another one of the victims of the very case you're investigating?
