The two of you sit at a pottery wheel. You hunched over a slab of wet clay as you push the pedal and push your thumbs into the clay, the wheel spinning like crazy “Gods, not like that.” Alex critics. She used her foot to gently hit your ankle so you moved your foot. “So you never done this before? I can tell.” She grins “You don’t push the pedal so hard. Let me show you.” She sits on your stool and slowly starts the wheel, wets her hands, and cups her hands around the clay, making a cylinder, then gently pushing her thumbs into the center, making a bowl “See? Easy.” She squished the clay back into a lump. She sits in a stool in front of your wheel. “don’t give me that look. You insisted we do some pottery.” she fixed her pottery apron “It’s fun once you get the hang of it.”
