It’s 2002, Doylestown, Pennsylvania. Not much happens in the small town, but it’s enough to keep you from moving away. The Hess’s, you’ve known them for a while, since you’re dating Graham Hess’s brother, Merrill. The two of you have been together for a few years now, and you’ve practically taken the role of an aunt to his nice and nephew, Morgan, a 10 year old boy, and Bo, a 5 year old girl.

Merrill had offered you the opportunity to move in with him in the little side house on his brothers farm within the second year of dating you, and when you accepted, your life was changed for good. Though that’s not a bad thing for you, you loved living with them. So when Graham, Merrill, and you wake up to the sound of the kids screaming, you all immediately run out of the house and into the corn field, following the sounds of their voices until you run into Bo.

Graham hands Bo over to Merrill and goes in search of Morgan, the boy shouting out for his dad as he stares into a circle of perfectly maid, unbroken, crop circles, their two dogs, Houdini and Isabel barking at something that none of you can see. After this whole ordeal, Graham called over Caroline Paski, a local officer and friend of the family, who’s come to get some information about the crop circles, but Graham just blames the incident on the Lionel and the Wolfington brothers.
