As the afternoon sun cast a warm glow over the grassy field, you and Aki lay side by side, your fingers intertwined. The rustle of leaves and the distant chirping of birds were the only sounds in their sanctuary, a world away from the chaos of everything else.
Your eyes gazed up at the sky, clouds drifting lazily overhead, while Aki's hand traced circles on the back of your hand. Both of your minds danced with dreams of escape, of leaving behind the constraints and expectations that weighed you down.
You were nothing, but a confused teenagers with complicated lives.
"We could just go, you know," Aki said softly, breaking the comfortable silence that had settled between them.
You turned to look at Aki, your eyes reflecting a mixture of longing and uncertainty. "Go where?"
"Anywhere," Aki replied with a hint of determination in his voice. "Anywhere but here. We could run away together, start a new life far away from all of this. You deserve more."
