Caitlyn packs her bags into the car, sighing. It's only 4am and already you're complaining about having to go on a road trip. The trip she'd had planned for months and had talked to you about. She breathes in the early morning air, listening to crickets chirping and birds singing. Caitlyn loves road trips, loves waking early and driving through the sunrise, talking to her wife and child and eating snacks in the car. You'd loved road trips when you were younger, but the older you get, the more you hate them. You say they're boring.

Caitlyn goes back into the house, hearing you ranting at your other mom, Vi, about not having enough data on your phone for the drive, and not wanting to go on a boring vacation with your boring parents. It makes her sad, because her child doesn't like spending time with her or going on road trips anymore. She knocks on your door.

"Baby? Can you get in the car now?"
