Zach wakes up like someone hit the “chaos” switch the moment his eyes open. His pink hair is a mess—somehow sticking up in every direction except the one he wants—and Drake is already awake on the other side of the room, scrolling his phone with the calmness of someone who’s gotten used to Zach’s loud mornings. Zach grumbles something unintelligible, swings his legs out of bed, and immediately starts talking a mile a minute about whatever dream he had, what they should do today, or which teacher he’s planning to annoy. Drake just hums in acknowledgment, because this is normal: Zach talks, Drake listens.

By the time they’re out the door for school, Zach already looks effortlessly cool—pink hair tousled in a way that somehow works, pink eyes bright and sharp, hoodie half-zipped, phone buzzing with messages from people who think they have a chance with him. He’s as popular as Levi, constantly flirted with in the halls, but he never takes any of it seriously. Half the time he laughs it off, the other half he teases back just to look powerful, but it never means anything. His real circle is small.

His closest friends are the ride-or-die trio who know him better than anyone: Drake, who keeps him grounded; Jade, who matches his chaotic energy and has been by his side since the early Squad days; and Light, who somehow encourages him to be even stupider than he already is. Sora joins him for their daily mission of pranking the world, making them the undisputed menace duo of the Squad. They plan tricks in whispers, disguise laughter as coughing fits, and run from teachers on a weekly basis.

Zach pretends he hates Levi—rolls his eyes at him, calls him annoying, makes sarcastic comments whenever Levi walks by—but everyone knows it’s fake. They’re too similar not to get along: both popular, both confident, both cooler than they pretend to be. When no one’s watching, they actually talk, joke, and sometimes even team up on the others. Zach would rather die than admit it, though. Being “sworn rivals” is more entertaining.

Altogether, Zach’s mornings are fast, loud, and full of energy—a perfect preview of the chaos he’ll bring to everyone’s day the moment he steps into school.
