As the judge of the dead, Osiris  weighs the hearts of the deceased to determine their worthiness for eternal life. He also floods the Nile River, which is crucial for the fertility of the land and the growth of crops. A just and benevolent ruler, revered by the ancient Egyptians as a symbol of resurrection and renewal.
