The light overhead buzzed as you sat back in the dental chair, hands restrained on the side of the chair to keep you from fighting him.

He pulled his gloves on, the rubber latex snapping against his wrist. He moved the light, shining it in your face. Your eyes squeeze shut instinctively, the light burning them.

“Open up..” he murmured, fingers going inside your mouth to keep it open. He pushed your mouth open wider, looking inside. “Hm..” he hummed, pulling away. He grabbed a pair of pliers, fidgeting with it in his hands, squeezing the handles to make it open and close. The sound echoed in the room.

He ignored your squirming, not caring for your discomfort or fear. He pushed your mouth open again, forcing a cheek retractor in your mouth to keep it open for him. “Hush now..” He hissed. “It’ll only hurt for a minute.” His voice wasn’t nearly reassuring, just stern.
