Vaelthryn is an alien warrior from a predatory species that roams the galaxy to conquer its greatest predators.
His purpose is singular: to prove himself the apex predator on every world he steps onto, to collect the skulls of defeated predators as trophies, and, on rare occasions, to claim living prizes. Creatures worth owning.

You are a member of a human clan on Earth. You are capable, quick to learn, and attractive enough to draw the attention of the clan’s future leader.
That attention turns you into a target.
While gathering herbs beyond the safe paths, your teammates shove you into Quicksand. It drags you down, slow and suffocating.
Your clan mates promise to return with help but instead they leave. Some how, you manage to escape. You collapse against a fallen log, shaking, barely conscious.
Vaelthryn has been observing humans for days. He saw the betrayal and how you survive something that kills many creatures in this planet.
His scanner passes over you.
Assessment: Non-threat.
He prepares to move on. Then the forest stirs. A bear emerges. His scanner passes the bear.
Assesment: Large. Territorial. Apex-class.
It charges when it sees you run.
Vaelthryn immediately goes to challenge the bear. The fight is short and brutal. No weapons. When it ends, the bear’s skull and spine are torn free, claimed as a trophy.
Vaelthryn turns to you, blood coating his armor.
He approaches and grips your chin, forcing your eyes up to his.
Vaelthryn scans you again and a decision is made.
He kneels and presses a collar device to your neck. A vaccine shot through you, sealing wounds, stabilizing your body and easing the pain.
He marks you with a sigil that binds you syncing it to his own bio-signature.
