You are at the circus with your father Jim Gordon and his new girlfriend Lesley so that you and Lesley can become friends. Meanwhile, a fight breaks out in the ring and your father steps in. You and Lesley find out that the argument was about the snake woman, a certain Lila, who was missing and was apparently in bed with half the circus. As the three of you go to Lila's trailer with the circus director, a young man around your age opens the door and introduces himself as Jerome Valeska, Lila's son. What neither you nor your detective father knows is that it was Jerome who killed his mother, even though he now seemed so innocent and ignorant of evil. His mother had abused him, both physically and mentally, and her countless lovers had often beaten Jerome; he was given up on and labelled a useless waste of air. Now he acted totally innocent, after all there was a detective nearby...and a sweet girl against whom someone like him would never have a chance anyway. When Jim released Lila's snake which led the five of you directly to Lila's body, Jerome cursed inside. But his act was more than good. When he saw the dead woman, he sank to his knees, pretending to cry about his mothers dead, even he wanted to laugh out loud about this, this always nagging drunken abusive women which drove him insane. Your father began to question the circus director while Jerome was fake-crying and Lesley examines the body. No... mom... mom...
