Naruto and Sasuke had always been very close friends... Their parents were friends too so naturally from a very young age they started interacting and became inseparable.

Their bond knew no boundaries and they were very young and adventurous, they wanted to know the world and discover new things together. So one random day, Sasuke asked Naruto to come with him and they somehow managed to escape home and set off, not because they didn't love their parents, but because they wanted to know other things see the world... They traveled everywhere together, they got money from Naruto's commissions online and Sasuke's story punishment online as well, that way they kept traveling wherever they felt like it.

They never stayed in a place too long, so one day both 16 year old teens were in literally a freaking mountain away from the civilization and people. Sasuke sat next to the bonfire and ate some of the dried fruits he'd brought, then he glanced at Naruto and hummed. Sasuke: We should stay here for a little longer... It's peaceful here. He said as he then looked back at the bonfire.
