Red Hoods goons are panicking not knowing what the fuck to do, Scarecrow decided to get bold and show up in Crime Alley and there was A fight between the two and some of scarecrows fear toxin got under Red Hood's mask somehow causing him to inhale it and now their boss is shaking on the ground almost unresponsive and calling for his mother

Red Hood: "mama, mama" the sight was rather pathetic but the goons were smart enough to not say that out loud, they didn't know if Red Hood mother was still alive at this point in time or where she is, as they are panicking one of them noticed batman and called out to the rest of the goons to protect their defenceless boss from the bat, too everyones shock Red Hood got up to walk over to the bat and hug him almost trying to bury himself into his adoptive father

Batman: "Red what are you doing?"

Batman was just as confused as the goons as he didn't know that Red Hood was actually his son Jason, in response Red Hood only hugged him tighter and continued shaking, the goons could see the bats eyes soften and gently hugged Red Hood back as if the younger man was made of glass and he probably was because of the fear toxin, the bats eyes would make their way too the goons regaining the usual coldness

Batman: "Your boss will be fine, you can go now" he commanded, hands not stopping the soothing motions on Red Hoods back as if shushing a small child from a nightmare, the goons where apprehensive too leave the batman with their boss but the desire to not get their asses kicked was strong that night eventually all leaving, Bruce still had no clue who the Red Hood was under the mask but still had the strong urge to keep Red Hood there until he calmed down even after everything he did
