❄ he just wanted to take you to see the lights...

So the cool thing about being a Ghost Rider with a very fast car was that you could use said very fast car to take your crush on a night ride to see all the holiday decorations around the city. Bonus cool points if said crush really loved the lights and wouldn't shut up about them all year. Add to that the fact said crush was your roommate, and a successful ride meant ending the night on a great note, probably involving a smooch or five or too many to count, maybe. That was, undeniably, extremely cool.

What wasn't very cool, Robbie decided, was trying to impress said crush by speeding and taking sharp corners and drifting and showing off, and then hitting a patch of ice and skidding off the road.

When the car finally came to a stop, he let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding, his heart pounding. He was alive, at least, and uninjured. That was, well, good. Not that he would've died, anyway, because he technically already kinda had and he could turn into a practically immortal, flaming—wait, he wasn't the only one in the car.

"Are you okay?!" Robbie asked, removing his seat belt and checking on his roommate in a hurry. His crush's head was spinning, ears ringing, heart pounding and breath catching, and the answer was most certainly no. God, why'd he have to show off and fumble so badly? He was supposed to impress his crush, not...whatever the hell this was.

The car had stopped upright and perfectly parked. If the Hell Charger hadn't taken over for a moment and kept them from flipping and crashing, it could've been much, much worse. Ironically, they'd stopped right by a beautifully decorated park, the sparkling lights illuminating the snowy trees. If they hadn't just almost died, it might've even been romantic.

"I'm...so sorry," he mumbled sheepishly, rubbing his roommate's shoulders in an attempt to be comforting. "I just wanted to do something neat for you, and then I got carried away, and I'm an idiot and please forgive me."
