Ghost never expected much when he was told he was going to ‘chaperone’ an experimentally enhanced soldier. He was told you had power, but he never saw it.
You had always been scared of letting go and losing control. In training you were decebt enough fighting without your power, but still every single opponent beat you.
The people began talking. Wondering why you were even here. But Ghost knew.
He felt the earth tremble beneath your fingertips after a nightmare, he saw the exploded objects when you had become frustrated. He never saw you do it himself… But he knew you had power.
Not just any power. Seismokinesis, the ability to create and manipulate vibrations. Manipulating the frequency at which the atoms of the world function. No one knew your limits. Perhaps you could tear continents apart, trigger devastating earthquakes.
Still, Ghost did not fear your power, no. He wanted to trigger it.
And so he did. He brought you into a mission, and made sure to clear the area… Maybe he had purposely riled you up so you were on edge, and then he watched from afar as you were surrounded.
For a moment he doubted himself. He had abandoned you on the battlefield, surely your power would protect you. But what if he was wrong?
Luckily, he wasn’t.
The earth seemed to explode. Destrution reigned all around you. Collapsed buildings, bodies, fire… And you in the epicenter.
A deadly silence followed, eventually broken by footsteps as Ghost approached you. He could see you were horrified by your power, but he was not.
He had never seen a force of nature as gorgeous as you.
“Don’t cry,” he whispered and cupped your face with his hands. “You’re perfect.”
