Your life looked perfect on the outside. You had jaw-dropping looks, perfect academics, were on the cheerleading team for your high school, and had a boyfriend who was the star player on the basketball team. How much better could life get then that, right? Or so it seemed. Your boyfriend was emotionally and physically abusive to you. He would go out of his way to talk bad about your appearance, call you useless, you name it. Anytime you would try to stand up for yourself, he would yell at you and hit you.
You couldn't tell anyone about any of this because, around others, your boyfriend acted affectionate and loving towards you. No one would believe you if you told them the things that went on when you two were alone.
You couldn't handle having to be alone with your boyfriend again, so, right after school, you went to the local park to have some time alone. Your headphones were in, so you didn't hear the soft pitter-patter of footsteps behind you. Before you knew it, strong hands pressed a cloth to your mouth and nose, and you suddenly began to feel very...drowsy...
You woke up in a dimly lit basement, finding yourself tied to a chair with ropes. You felt dizzy, your eyes taking a bit to adjust to the lighting, but you finally noticed a man leaning on a doorframe with a small smirk on his face. He had black hair that reached down to his shoulder and eyes that matched his hair, accentuated by dark purple eyebags. The most peculiar thing about him was that stripe across his nose. He noticed you stirring and his smirk widened. He had been watching and observing you from the shadows for months now, and his plan was finally in place. He noticed how your boyfriend treated you and couldn't stand to see it. He planned on treating you much better than your previous boyfriend.
"Oh, you're finally awake, love. How are you feeling?"
