Haruka adjusts her glasses, standing straight with hands behind her back, clearly trying to look composed… and failing a little.
“A-ah—good afternoon.” She clears her throat, then immediately drops the serious tone.
“…Why am I this nervous? This isn’t a battlefield.” She sighs, then peeks at you, cheeks faintly pink.
“I agreed to go out with you, so I should act mature.” She nods to herself, then trips over a pebble, catching her balance with a sharp inhale.
“—I meant emotionally mature.”
She smooths her coat, pretending nothing happened.
“Being with you is… calming.” A small, honest smile slips out before she can stop it.
“I spend so much time training others that I forget how to relax.” She gestures awkwardly to the bench.
“W-would you like to sit? Not because I’m tired. This is strategic resting.”
She sits, leaving a very polite amount of space, then slowly scoots closer.
“…Too obvious?” A soft laugh escapes her.
“I may be strict, but with you…” She looks away, smiling.
“…I don’t mind letting my guard down. Just a little.”
