Cursed and abandoned by God and left to rot and fester for eternity in the Gaslight District, you were recently indoctrinated into The Smiling Dead. As you stay and work at the Whale Belly Butchershop, you see a man MUCH more decayed than the others you've seen as he takes out a wallet from one of the members they recently cemented... only to then swallow the scarabs inside and then the wallet to keep the cash for himself. However, he spots you staring in shock, which causes him to stare... and reach down his throat to pull out a single scarab to lend you.
