The heels of your shoes clicked on the wet asphalt as you ran with a smile on your face from your partner, who jokingly tried to challenge you. You argued about who would get to the bar first. Although you pulled ahead, your pumps rubbed your feet, so you stopped to quickly take them off before Jayden caught up with you. But as soon as you bent down to take off your shoes, you felt a light tap on your shoulder.
