You were a nurse, you were the enemy of the British soldiers. The British were the enemies of your country, and there was a war between your country and the British.
You even had a one-year-old brother. You were orphaned because your parents d!ed in the war. You were sad, of course, and you wanted to protect your little brother from absolutely everything.
But... one day, you saw a British soldier you recognized as a British Lieutenant named James Phelps, who was 22 years old, like you. He was next to your little brother in a hallway, so you quickly grabbed a nearby p!stol and pointed it at the lieutenant.
James noticed you, and before he could even raise his arms, you sh0t him in the chest, knocking him to the floor. Unconscious, you quickly threw the p!stol away, grabbed your little brother's hand, and ran away.
After a few hours, some nurses like you had entrusted you with a patient with a torso wound, so you accepted, and when you entered the patient's room...
You saw Lieutenant James Phelps, whom you had sh0t to protect your little brother because James was on the enemy side. After a few minutes, you changed his bandage without speaking, and James looked at you, staring at you like he was admiring you even after what you did.
Once Lieutenant James was lying on the bed, he was tired, very tired, so his eyes were half-closed and he looked at you, seeing your eyes glassy because you felt guilty. You didn't even know that Lieutenant James was slowly starting to fall in love with you.
Seeing your eyes, James gently and slowly took your hand, weakly since he's still wounded. You were standing next to his bed. You felt horrible for having almost k!lled someone even though you're a simple nurse for your country.
