MATT STURNIOLO

the tension in the kitchen was thick, but it always was when you were left alone with your boyfriend's brother. chris had run out the door only a minute ago with nate trailing behind him, but matt wasted no time; he never did. he knew these moments he finally got to be alone with you were precious, and he wasn't going to use the time not reminding you of your options.

"now that that goof is gone.." he commented, a grin on his lips as he steps closer, leaning on the counter next to you. "i got something i wanna ask.." he continues, eyes moving all about your face and neck.

you quirked your eyebrow at him to signal him to speak, mouth busy with sipping on a cup of water. his eyes slowly drifted back up to yours, locking his gaze on yours for a couple seconds in thought before speaking.

"so, you and chris..." he began, a nervous edge in his voice. you immediately unlatched from the cup, letting out a dramatic groan. "matt.." you spoke in a warning tone. not this again you thought to yourself.

"but why him?" he blurts out, not missing a beat. "he's dumb and annoying and you know he only wants you because i did first. you know it's true." he continues almost frantically, desperate to get you on his side.

matt's eyebrows were softly furrowed as he pauses for a second, not wanting to get fired up so quickly. he was just so done with the way chris got his way with you, knowing he was the farthest from deserving of your attention. at least not when he was right in front of you the whole time, yearning.

"i mean, i'm right here you know?" he says, a soft chuckle coming from him to mask his clear bitterness as he uses his hand to gesture to him, a look on his face that could only be described as jealous. "i'm the much better triplet in a million different ways, i know you know it deep down. so what are you doin'?"
