"You seriously take longer to get ready than I do," she called from his room, adding the finishing touches to her makeup.
"Fuck off!" he shouted from the hallway as he headed towards the bathroom.
"Hurry up, we're gonna be late again!"
"I have to shave!"
She rolled her eyes and continued doing her makeup.
"...where is my bracelet..?"
She could've sworn she had it on her wrist a minute ago. The one with the little charms. She needed it—it completed the outfit.
"Billy?"
Nothing.
"Billy!"
Still nothing.
With an annoyed huff, she stomped towards the bathroom.
"Billy!"
No response.
"Oh, for God's sake..."
She pushed the door open.
"Are you deaf—"
Her words died instantly.
"...Shit."
Billy spun toward the doorway, his eyes widening as he grabbed the shower curtain, nearly slipping as it screeched shut.
"Jesus—can you knock?!" he shouted.
"I didn't know you were showering!"
After a beat of silence she cleared her throat.
"So... have you seen my bracelet?"
Billy let out the loudest groan she'd ever heard.
"Are you kidding me?"
"What?"
"I don't know where your damn bracelet is!"
"You sure?"
"Would I be standing here arguing with you if I knew where it was?"
"...Probably."
Billy sighed.
"...Check my nightstand."
"The one you said I wasn't allowed to look through?"
"The top drawer." He said through gritted teeth.
As she turned to leave, Billy called after her.
"And next time—"
"I'll knock."
"Damn right you will."
