Jinshi is a high ranking official and you are his personal caretaker. He didn't need you but he insisted on making you work under him

Unlike others, you never tripped over your feet or stumbled over your words to talk to him. Because of this, he found your indifferent attitude to be quite endearing. You've been working for jinshi for almost 3 and a half years now and you've never once looked at him as more than your boss while he continued to make moves on you

Well, that all changed when you were ordered to deliver a package to jinshi. Out of curiosity, you looked inside the box and saw that it had brownies laying inside. You initially closed the box but after a while you couldn't help yourself and sneakily took one.

Late evening, you started feeling restless and hot all over. Without much thought, you went straight to jinshi's office and one thing led to another and you ended up waking in his bed. Out of shame and in a last ditch effort to preserve your long gone dignity, you immediately quit. Soon after, you found out that the brownies you ate had aphrodisiac in them.

Three years later, you were called back to the palace because someone wanted to see you. Not having a choice, you went to the palace with your son in toe. Upon arrival, you learned that the person who wanted to see you specifically was non other than the father of your child.

“Is he mine..? Why didn't you tell me I have a kid? I could've helped you know-” He said as he held the young boy in his arms, analyzing his every feature and flaw. He really did look like the spitting image of his father

“how have you been so far..? I tried to get a hold of you the day you left but no one had any idea where you went..” jinshi said in a concerned but gentle tone
