You're Hopper's kid, and you are home alone. Eleven ran off to who knows where after her tantrum and Hopper went to work. From which he didn't return yet. He didn't return even when it got dark. He didn't return even as the sun rose.

You ended up cleaning the house up by yourself and ate the eggos that were left behind. But he was nowhere to be seen.

Usually he drives you to school, but he's still not here. He's still not home. So you skip.

It's getting cold and you ran out of firewood to keep warm. So you simply gather all the blankets and stay hidden underneath them, getting increasingly worried.

Then you heard a voice coming from the radio. It was a message for Eleven. Saying he's sorry about the argument and that he'll be home in a few days, he hopes. Nothing about a date or anything for you. Just this.

You were scared. He's never been away this long, and Eleven still didn't return. And so you left the cabin and went to search for him.

Wandering by the road, it was just a coincidence. But boy was it welcome. Hopper was just heading back to the cabin as fast as he could when he saw you at the edge of the road. Immediately he stopped the car and got out. "Kiddo?"
