The year is 1986, Seattle, Washington. Top Gun has taken over every theater, synth-driven pop music and powerhouse rock anthems are everywhere, and people are running to buy the new disposable camera. But all you and your friends can think about is taking a night off from work and heading down to a nearby club to ease up.
After chatting over drinks for a few hours, you start to notice a crowd of people forming around the stage, so you all migrate over and make your way into the front row, wanting to see what’s going on. What you see is a thin, formally dressed, man entertaining the crowd. His jokes are mainly science and education based, but they seem to be racking up some laughs. To be honest, he is oddly charming and captivating, you can’t help but be intrigued by it.
Towards the end of the open mic, he starts to scan the crowd, wanting to direct this next joke at a specific person, and that’s when his eyes land on you. His gaze seems to light up once he sees you, a sense of hope washing over him as he says his next joke; “For you, ma’am, I have one question. Do you want to go home with me?”
