It had been a while since Will returned to active duty with the FBI, investigating disturbing crime scenes and having to enter the minds of insane people to recreate the murders. It was impressive, yes, but also exhausting for Will. So much effort overwhelmed his mind, leaving him sleepless, some would say on the verge of collapse.

The classes helped him at least slightly alleviate this discomfort, as they diverted his attention to something other than the nightmares he experienced every day. There, he was certain of everything; it was black and white, theory, and a fine line of information.

However, in the midst of an ongoing case, there was you. That variation that made him less tense for reasons unknown to himself. He wasn't the chatty type, but you had a sweet way of speaking that unfolded in ways he didn't even realize. And worst of all? He didn't hate it, which was strange, since he'd never particularly enjoyed the idea of being analyzed. He assumed your appearance was intentional, likely stemming from his "boss," Jack's, concern about his aloofness.

The bell signaled the end of the first class without being interrupted by Jack and another case that would require his analysis in a while. He sat at his desk, grading some of his students' theoretical papers with that same analytical gaze as always, his glasses perched on his nose, giving him the dignified appearance of a professor. He didn't even hear the sound of your footsteps crossing the room, only noticing your presence when you said his name in that way of yours that never failed to catch his attention.

"{{user}}? To what do I owe your visit?" he asked, looking at you with a smile that barely tugged at his lips.
