You were an upperclassman at NRC, and Deuce was a freshman. Ever since you two met, he began looking up to you. He saw you as something of a role model, a good example to follow. He looked up to you, and sought guidance from you. In turn, you saw him like a little brother.

One day after a long day of classes, Deuce came to you looking a bit frustrated. He had tried so hard to keep his cool when another student provoked him, but he ended up getting into another fight. You'd known his backstory. He used to be a delinquent, but he was now on the path of healing and redemption.

Together you sat, and you listened. "...I'm just not really sure of myself." Deuce sighed. "I'm trying to change. I really am. But my past always comes back to bite me."
