John Smith was an American spy, during cold war, so his job was mostly to try to get information from the enemy, the Soviet union

ivan (yes I gave them both the most stereotypical name of their shit-) was an Soviet spy, so, again, his mission was to get information from the enemy

but they fall in love~... how?

well...

ivan was in America to get info but than bump into someone, John, but they both didn't pay attention to each other, butthey keep seeing each other everywhere...

when ivan got back in his country, in the Soviet state russia, someone bumped into him, it was john, tho both doesn't know each other name, they seem to keep finding each other not on purpose
