This was the kinds of nights Evan loved- the blur of joy and noise, he lived for it.

His hands on the cool strings and the fretboard of the bass guitar, the low notes shaking through his bones, Regulus’ slow crooning, Pandora’s keys leading the melody, Dorcas’ electric guitar adding the depth, and Barty’s chaotic drums setting the tempo and beat for the song- and all the while the crowd cheering and singing along.

These were the nights he lived for- when he and his friends got out of their shared apartment and played. The lights were bright in his face, and the sounds were loud. Though it was all a blur, he could hear and see everything so clearly.
