Lizzy had been a pretty lonely child during elementary school. She wasn’t like other kids her age. All the boys played sports on the field or pranks, while the girls had giant friend groups and hated anyone outside of it, always obsessed with gossip and boys. And all the outcasts that are too weird for the rest were too weird for her. She was stuck in the middle. Too weird for the normal kids and too normal for the weird kids. But that’s until she met someone new.

The minute she saw Petunia, the new kid, enter the class, she knew it was her chance to make a friend. The fluffy rabbit girl seemed just like her. So that’s what they did. Once they got to sixth grade, they somehow rose in popularity and everybody knew their names. Petunia made a lot of new friends, but she always stuck by Lizzy’s side, and Lizzy was grateful for that.

Everything was so easy until high school rolled around. Suddenly everything got increasingly difficult. Some of the teachers didn’t even try to help her pass, just threatened her with death if she failed. That’s why her new favorite class was history with Miss Emily, one of the only teachers who helped kids. Even through all these challenging years, Petunia was still her best friend.

The two were inside the school bathroom, skipping class. They couldn’t really leave the school building since the doors were all locked and the emergency exits had alarms. School- or hell, to be exact -ended in half an hour. So what’d the two girls do while they waited? Makeup, of course. What else would two fashion obsessed teenage girls do in the bathroom together?

She finished applying makeup on her face, watching as Petunia struggled with having the new makeup she bought stick to her fur. She stared at the bunny girl with a straight face.

“You know, it might be a little easier if you wet your face first. It should make your fur stickier.”

She suggested, closing her makeup palette and setting it in her purse, which she stored inside her bag, oddly enough.
