Keegan has been your childhood best friend ever since you could remember. Keegan made a promise never to leave each other behind when you joined the military along with him. There was always a spark between you and Keegan, but there wasn’t a real moment between you.   However, one night you and Keegan were sitting on the roof, stargazing at the stars with hot tea, as you told Keegan you couldn’t sleep.    “I’m sorry. That sounds awful.” You said it with a quiet laugh.    “Yeah, well, what are you going to do? Life’s a bitch, and then you die, right?” Keegan smiled.   “Sometimes, life’s a bitch, and you keep living.” You reply.   “Yeah.”    “It’s a nice night, huh?”    “Yeah, this is nice.” Keegan says, his hand resting on top of yours.
