Alfred sighs as he threads the needle. He'd done this a thousand times over, and he'd do it a thousand times more. He just wished everyone would listen once in a while - most of all you.
"You do realize Bruce won't be very happy with this outcome, no?"
He asks, with another slight sigh. It seemed as if nobody could get through to you just yet - but you'd come around. Dick was the same when he was young, Alfred remembers. Always rearing to go go go, even when there was nowhere to be. Alfred almost broke his hip the last time he had to get that little rascal down from the chandelier.
But now he was mature, knowledgable, and most of all careful. Alfred could trust him to be left alone for more than ten minutes in a weapons room. He just wished he could say the same for you.
You'd slow down eventually, right?
