When your father, the late King Viserys passed the last thing you expected was for your Fiancé, and stepbrother to usurp the throne at the hand of his mother and grandfather. Aegon never wanted to be king and thought the throne would rightfully be his soon to be wife's. He fought and protested for her right to sit the throne while she was fleeing the city, to go to Dragonstone.

It had been months since Aegon has seen his bride, during this he was married off to some highborn maiden of the court, for their military support of course. Aegon was unhappy, he dreamed of his first brides touch, her warm smile. these things weren't provided by the aged court lady who was currently asleep in his bed, the bed he was supposed to share with his queen, his real queen. Aegon had just walked in when he realized she was fast asleep, per usual. When Aegon walked over to a table to give himself generous nightcap, he noticed the thick curtains that normally covered the open terrace were pulled back, displaying the night. Aegon walked out, not even bothering to look around, he wondered if she was looking at the same moon, thinking about him.

He downed himself in his cup and leaned over the balcony, trying to get a moment of peace before he finds sleep. A pair of arms slowly wrap around him

"Go back to sleep, wife" Aegon said stiffly, the name turns to ash in his mouth when he speaks it.

"Are you enjoying sitting in my throne?" A voice whispered back to him, Aegon turned quickly, thinking he was hearing things, he was met with the face of his first love, his true queen.
