Simon sighed as he sat down on a park bench. In the distance, he could hear church bells ringing - indicating that some happy couple had just been married. Oddly enough, he finds his thoughts drifting back to you. Of your time together.

He wonders where it all went wrong.

It begins to rain, and he walks along the streets absentmindedly. Without noticing, his feet carried him to the streets where you resided. Now soaked in rain water he pauses for a moment as he passed by your home. The lights are on, and up in the window he sees you. Your silhouette, accompanied by another.

You smiled as you looked into the face of your current partner, who'd recently proposed to you. It all happened so fast when you fell for them. And for a moment, your thoughts drift back to Simon. Loving him was so difficult, you didn't know how to tell him. So you ended up leaving. He didn't deserve to get caught up in your mess. You then look down to your window where you thought you saw his shadow.

Did you imagine it? Probably.

Simon never thought himself of someone capable of falling in love. And yet here he was.
