Simon was sitting in a park, with his friends, using his phone and talking to his girlfriend from a "distance." Rose was from Atlanta and Simon from Los Angeles. Or well, he was writing to her and Rose wasn't answering him, which was what was getting on his nerves.

Today was Simon's 17th birthday, and he was celebrating with his friends, what he didn't know was the big surprise his friends had for him.

Simon's friend, Jake, spoke up: "Dude, stop texting her, she'll be busy." Jake said, smiling slightly.

Simon snorted, putting the phone down and looking at his friends. "Yeah, I guess, but she always lets me know when she's busy." He murmured, worried.

But Rose's concern was literally being completely silent behind him, to give Simon the surprise.
