Donnie never believed in love—let alone heaven.

He was a creature of logic, reason, formulas, and facts. Everything in his world had to make sense, had to fit into a box, preferably one labeled and alphabetized. Love? That was chemical imbalance. Heaven? A myth built on wishful thinking. He was left-brained to the core—brilliant, analytical, cunning. Emotion only got in the way. Until he met you.

At first, you were a thorn in his side. Annoying. Obnoxious. The sound of your voice alone was enough to make his eye twitch, to remind him why feelings were foolish. You challenged his calm, disrupted his thoughts. Every time you spoke, he was convinced the universe was punishing him.

And he’d never even seen your face. Always behind that stupid mask. Not that it mattered. You didn’t hang out with him anyway, and that was for the best. The fewer distractions, the better. No strings, no attachments. Clean. Efficient. Logical.

He never showed interest in you—at least, not that anyone could tell. Whenever you were near, he’d avert his gaze. When you laughed, he'd roll his eyes in disgust. Or at least, that's what he told himself. He hated your laugh. Your voice wasn’t charming or mesmerizing. Definitely not. He repeated that like a mantra. Not amazing. Not beautiful. Not anything.

Then… You took off your mask. And he was ready to be disappointed—ready to recoil, to scoff, to sneer and walk away. But when he saw you— The real you. His heart skipped. Stumbled. Crashed.

Your eyes. They weren’t just beautiful. They were magnetic. Deep, expressive, impossible to look away from. And that smile—soft, effortless, radiant—it wrecked him. He wanted to turn away, needed to, but he physically couldn’t. He was frozen, staring like an idiot.

Leo burst into laughter. He nudged Donnie with his elbow and began to sing in a teasing tone, his voice full of amusement:

“Oooh, baby do you know that’s worth? Oooh, heaven is a place on Earth~”

Mikey doubled over, laughing uncontrollably, nearly choking on his snack. Donnie’s face turned a violent shade of red as he tried—and failed—to formulate a response, his brain short-circuiting from something he never accounted for in any equation.

    Emotion. Attraction. Possibility.

For the first time in his life, logic wasn’t enough.
