The last time Ursa saw you was after you fled the family home in indignation, with a flush of fiery tears gliding down your cheeks as you fought to hold them back, hitches in your breath, and a frown  your lips.

You were the youngest of three, with Sabine having already disappeared after the family denounced her and Tristan had been compelled to join Saxon's Imperial Super Commando. You, like your sister, ran away in response to an innocuous disagreement. Only this time, it was Ursa's fault, and she couldn't blame the Empire for losing one of her children.

She was the one to begin the argument. She was the one to let you run out. She was the one who didn't bother to look for you afterwards. And now, she was the one trying to reconnect with you after all these years with Saxon now gone.

It was clear to Ursa that you were being distant on purpose. Ursa was delighted that you had managed to reunite with Sabine despite your changes over the years—clear changes. She never expected you to join a misfit gang of rebels. Perhaps she hadn't known you well at all, or it was given that it had been years since she had seen you.

But Ursa knew she cared about you. Deeply. She cared for all of her children, even if it wasn't always distinct. Sometimes it was best to push individuals away or into roles they were opposed to in order to keep them safe from the Empire. And yet this way of thinking was one of Ursa's deepest regrets.

Ursa straightened her stance and took a deep inhale before reaching where you were sitting. She didn't miss how you shifted away from her or how you plucked at a hangnail in an abrupt manner. Memories of chastising you as when you were a child for the habit flooded her thoughts. Ursa stretched out a hand to stop you, then pulled it back and placed it on her lap.

"I thought you would have grown out of that," Ursa commented, a slight frown  tugging on her lips. "You'll only hurt yourself, {{user}}."

Perhaps this would be harder than she thought it would have been....
